FNF vs Impostor Legacy
VS Impostor Legacy: The Among Us Rhythm Mod Gets a Full Remake
VS Impostor Legacy is a ground-up remake of VS Impostor V4, rebuilding the entire campaign with new charts, cutscenes, dialogue, a ranking system, awards, cosmetics, pets, and hidden extras. It’s playable directly in your browser — no download required.
Across the full campaign, you’ll match notes through 57 songs as crewmates, impostors, and a rotating cast of guest characters. According to developer echo, the jump from the old “vs Impostor Among Us V4” to Legacy involved a full optimization pass, a port to web, and the addition of cheat codes aimed at players who either want to unlock content quickly or have already beaten the game and just want to jump to specific songs.
The Campaign, Week by Week
The story kicks off in the Polus chapter, where Boyfriend faces the Red Impostor across an opening battle, an escalating sabotage-driven confrontation, and a fast-paced fight against Red’s transformed “Meltdown” form.
From there, the action shifts to MIRA HQ, where Green becomes the new threat — first in a standard matchup, then during a blackout fight after the lights get sabotaged, followed by a battle against Green’s larger “Reactor” form, and a finale that plays out mid-fall through the sky.
The Airship arc introduces Yellow, White, and eventually Black. This stretch includes a faster-tempo rematch, a fight against White standing in for Yellow, a chase sequence where Boyfriend flees a monstrous version of Yellow instead of a standard standoff, and a two-on-one battle against White and Black together. Also Play FNF Exorcist” ft. Miku (English) and FNF: Huggy Mix
Black then becomes the focus of the campaign’s endgame, with a high-pressure 200 BPM duel that includes a miss limit, a fight against a shape-shifting monochrome doppelganger, and the story’s main climactic showdown.
Later branches expand the cast even further: Maroon gets a three-song arc building toward a lava-soaked parasite battle; Grey’s arc accelerates in tempo with each song, capping off near 210 BPM; Pink leads a greenhouse-themed mini-arc where Grey eventually becomes the antagonist and Pink joins your side; and Jorsawsee’s five-song stretch includes a four-lane meeting scene and a bonus lobby battle featuring Pico, Nene, and Powers.
There’s also a retro pixel-art arc built around Tomongus (plus a hamster opponent by the end), a plant-themed set against the oddly named Lime Green JADSPOSTOR, a crossover arc against the Henry Stickmin cast, and a Cval-vs.-Pip storyline that wraps up in a warehouse finale.
Bonus and Secret Tracks
Beyond the main story, there’s a stack of bonus songs — including crewmate-vs-crewmate battles, a Jerma-inspired encounter, a parody track modeled after “No More Nuzzles,” a food-themed fight against a character called Chefogus, and a hidden 57th song set in the pixel FNF school with Senpai as the playable character.
Security DLC
An optional Security DLC adds five extra songs on top of the main 57 — including a fight against a character named Noob49, a Purple-focused story song, a Detective-themed battle, a Horsemate bonus track, and a final unlockable song that opens up once you’ve cleared the other four DLC tracks.
Fun Facts
A few naming quirks are worth knowing: the opening song’s title riffs on a Monty Python reference, and the second week’s opener plays off the first song’s name to mark the start of a new arc. Several song titles are also just straight references to in-game Among Us locations and actions. One track’s name was picked almost at random and simply means “something edible.” Another began life as a joke song for a completely different album and was repeatedly teased as cancelled before it made the final cut. A couple of songs also got fresh audio remakes specifically for this Legacy version, and one song’s title had its exact spelling officially corrected during development.
Story Mode and Tips
Story Mode uses a branching map rather than a simple list of weeks, with early chapters funneling into Black’s endgame before opening up into Maroon, Grey, Pink, Jorsawsee, Tomongus, Henry Stickmin, and other guest storylines.
The song-select screen is organized by story, bonus, and character-specific sections, and your performance on each song determines a saved rank. Progress is also tracked through collectible stars.
For the busier, note-dense songs, it helps to study the repeated patterns rather than trying to read every note fresh. Be careful with hold notes too — letting go early can break your combo at the worst possible moment. If you’re finding lanes hard to track, there are accessibility options like Middlescroll and Lane Underlay to help, plus a Photosensitive setting that tones down flashing effects during sabotage scenes.
Clearing songs earns currency that unlocks cosmetic content — alternate skins, playable characters, and pets, some of which change stage details or trigger character reactions.
Cheat Codes
The mod includes several codes for unlocking content: options to temporarily open every Story week, every Freeplay song, or the Finale route; a way to bypass Cosmicube currency requirements; a permanent currency boost; permanent unlocks for cosmetic items and lore snippets; a permanent award unlock; a combined all-access toggle; and a reset option that turns off temporary cheats while keeping your actual progress intact.
