FNF: Huggy Mix Turns Huggy Wuggy Into a Playable Character

FNF: Huggy Mix is a Friday Night Funkin mod that flips the script by letting you play as Huggy Wuggy himself. You work through his remixed versions of familiar base-game songs and take him on in a brand-new three-song week.

If you’re familiar with the Playable Pico update, this is a similar idea — except this time it’s the blue character from Poppy Playtime behind the mic. The mod comes from DaPootisBird, who handled the direction, animation, programming, and charting single-handedly. It released in September 2025.

Introducing Bug

The Huggy character featured here goes by “Bug,” and he’s a distinct take on the horror-game original — shorter, stockier, with oversized red lips and googly-style bulging eyes. His design, stage, and even a few of his note patterns pay homage to the original Vs. Huggy Wuggy mod from 2021.

Bug serves as the antagonist in the new week, titled “WHAT ONE IS YOUR HAPPY?” Once you clear it, he unlocks as a playable character across the mix songs.

Song Count

The mod packs in 24 tracks total: three original songs written for the Bug week, plus 21 Huggy-themed remixes of existing FNF tracks. The week kicks off with “I’m Huggy!,” composed by Sakuroll.

The remixes span the base game starting from Tutorial, and several come with their own cutscenes. The Senpai remix stands out as a good starting point — Senpai catches sight of Huggy Wuggy across the stage and has a meltdown, and honestly the pre-song dialogue is more entertaining than the track itself.

There’s also a crossover with the VS Adam Sandler mod baked in, which gives you a sense of the overall tone: this isn’t trying to be scary. It’s a comedy mod that happens to have genuinely solid charts behind the jokes.

Tips for Players

The Bug week’s original songs reuse a lot of the same note tricks from the 2021 Huggy mod, so if you remember those jack patterns, expect them to return. It’s worth practicing the remixes on an easier difficulty before jumping into the originals — the Bug week songs move quickly and don’t give you much room to recover if you drop your combo. Also, don’t skip the cutscenes your first time through. A good chunk of what makes this mod fun is in the dialogue, not just the charts.
