FNF Vs. Sky: REDUX (Heartbreak Havoc)

FNF Vs. Sky Redux is a refreshed rhythm-game mod for Friday Night Funkin’ that brings Sky back with upgraded visuals, reworked music, and fully animated cutscenes. The mod is playable for free on kbhgames.com and runs directly in your browser, so there’s no need to download or install anything. Rather than replacing the original Sky mod, Redux acts as a modern reinterpretation—expanding the story and polishing every part of the experience for longtime fans and newcomers alike.

After nearly four years, Sky officially returns with a full week of content. This version includes three remade songs, a V-Slice port of the classic mod, mid-song events, animated cutscenes, mobile support, and additional features planned for future updates. Everything feels more cohesive, cinematic, and complete compared to earlier versions.

The Redux storyline opens with Boyfriend and Girlfriend being suddenly transported to a mysterious forest lit by blue flames. Sky appears and politely asks Boyfriend to sing with her, but the tone quickly changes once he makes it clear he’s loyal to Girlfriend. Unable to accept the rejection, Sky’s emotions spiral out of control, eventually leading her to transform into her terrifying Manifest form. From there, Boyfriend and Girlfriend struggle to survive as the situation rapidly escalates.

Alongside the Redux route, the mod also includes a classic storyline. In this version, Sky pulls Boyfriend and Girlfriend into a blank void after entering the FNF universe herself. She attempts to win Boyfriend over through music, grows increasingly frustrated when he refuses, and ultimately turns her anger toward Girlfriend. The tension builds steadily until it ends in a final confrontation between Sky and Boyfriend.

Development of Vs. Sky Redux was long and challenging. First announced in mid-2023, the project faced pauses due to art direction changes, engine swaps, real-life interruptions, and shifting scope. Despite delays, the team continued refining the mod, eventually releasing a launch trailer on November 20th and confirming the final release.

Fans of the original Sky mod will immediately notice the massive improvements, while new players get a more polished and definitive version of Sky’s story.
